Newsletter

I started a newsletter in February 2024 called Keep Hoping Machine Running. It’s very loosely about digging small, shining bits of hope from the dirt of this largely awful world, offering reasons and ways to keep going when it feels like you’re being ground down bit by bit as time goes on, but when I say loosely, I mean it. It’s become more of a dumping ground for me to share media I love, write rambling personal essays about whatever has been on my mind in a given week, and try to convince my readers that my favorite poems should be their favorite poems. It’s a mess, but hopefully a good mess, as I am and as is everything I create.

If you want to subscribe, you can do so for free and get one post a month in your inbox, or you can pay $5 a month and get three additional posts, one each week. I deeply appreciate everyone who subscribes, regardless of which option they choose, but the paid version makes a real, tangible difference to my quality of life and it’s what makes this feel like a thing I can keep doing. I would love for you to join me, so here’s a form where you can sign up. And if you want to read some of my writing first to see if you like it, click the link above and check out the archive. There are plenty of free posts there.
